The Power in Embracing Our Stories

Our stories are so powerful they have the capacity to shift things deep inside of us, and  in turn, change the shape of the world we live in. In fact, when forces strive to weaken us, the first thing they do is disenfranchise, fracture and chip away at our stories, because our stories are the most powerful community builder and passer down of wisdom we have.

Join Miles Borrero, author of Beautiful Monster: A Becoming, for a story sharing and journaling experience, exploring the power in our stories. This workshop will invite you to embrace the totality of who you are with compassion, rigor and joy. Through Miles sharing his story, as well as engaging writing prompts, dive into your story to gain fresh insight around your purpose, those things that make you you, and how to bring more of you into rooms moving forward. Saying yes is easy, but learning to say no, and risk disappointing others in order not to disappoint ourselves is an art. Engaging and leaning into who we are makes us authentic and dynamic in ways that streamline our energy and our mission and make our voices undeniable.  It is also a formidable tool to dismantle the systems within ourselves that keep us small. All are welcome.
