Anniversary Celebration @Yoga45

  • Spidermonki Productions 64 E 111 St New York United States (map)

Just one year ago, Miles Borrero, my friend, my colleague, my teacher, and my daughter’s truest inspiration released his memoir chronicling the realities of being queer and trans in ’80s and ’90s Colombia during the Pablo Escobar years, through his pursuit of acting and the winding trajectory that eventually lands him in the New York City yoga scene where I met him at Kula Yoga Project in Tribeca. When I opened my studio 5 years ago, Miles was one of the very first teachers I brought to our community to make sure I kept our yoga, our friendship and our lineage alive. This class will be an homage to that long standing love and friendship. We will sing. We will practice. We will read. We will laugh. We will talk. And we will definitely cry. All levels and souls are truly welcome.
