ready to romp…

As my gaze turns on the fall, I have spent much time thinking about what I am doing and how to refine what I am offering you. I am refocusing and realigning my direction to make our time together sweeter and richer.

So I’m thrilled to announce The Study Sessions, which I will be holding quarterly at the Bhakti Center. We will meet four times a quarter, over one weekend day, for five hours, enjoy a full practice together and then study a specific topic.

This is for dedicated yogis and teachers, but you do not have to be a yoga teacher. You can buy the package or you can come per session, you can even just come to the practice. First session is Sept 18 from 12-5. If you’re near Carroll Gardens, I am also teaching a morning immersion class, part of a series with other teachers, on Sept 12 from 6:30 to 8:15 on hips and shoulders at Prema Yoga.

I will be teaching an Advanced Practice, part of another wonderful series Prema is offering, once a month on Fridays from 6:30-8:15. It aligned most weekends with the Study Sessions on purpose so you can make a weekend study hall out of it if you like, especially some of you wild out-of-towners who like to come down for such things. First one is Sept 23.

The Retreat to Nuqui, Febraury 27-March 5, has sold out the last two years. We already have some people signed up. If you want to save your spot, I recommend you don’t wait till the last minute. It is an EPIC, amazing time! And this year, Derek Cook and I are so excited to be collaborating on it. If you don’t know Derek, you should. Together we make magic.

Last, but not least. Our band- The Monki Menace will be having our album release Kirtan Riot this fall in New York and Boston. Save the Date! Saturday Nov. 19th, we will be at Laughing Lotus NYC. We are in the throes of setting the dates for Boston. So stay tuned. If you aren’t on my newsletter, get on there. I only send it out once a month announcing the happenings with some added yogic banter. Otherwise you can keep checking the website.

Happy end of summer yogis, enjoy the big bang! And thank you so much for keeping me uplifted this year.

miles- from miles and the monki menace (obviously)
