STUDY GROUP: SHOULDERS
WITH DR. ERIKA KALKAN AND MILES
THE CURATIVE NYC, (BWAY & WAVERLY)
WEDNESDAY OCT 30, 6:45-8:45 PM
$45

This geek-out extravaganza will be a co-led by Miles and Osteopath Erika Kalkan. This month we will focus on hips. Erika will discuss and lead practical ways to both open and stabilize the shoulders to keep them happy and healthy (which also has great effects on elbows and wrists). Miles will then take what we discuss and turn it into a hippy practice. This is an awesome opportunity if you want to learn how to work with your hips or your student’s hips or if you have questions you want to ask about your own.

STUDY GROUP: FEET
WITH DR. ERIKA KALKAN AND MILES
THE CURATIVE NYC, (BWAY & WAVERLY)
MONDAY NOV 11, 6:45-8:45 PM
$45

This geek-out extravaganza will be a co-led by Miles and Osteopath Erika Kalkan. This month we will look at one of the most important parts of you, the one that meets the ground:  the feet. Erika will give us the lay of the land and lead practical ways to keep your feet healthy and happy, what to do about bunions, and how to work with ankles that are either tight or unstable. This work will not just affect your feet, but offer great benefits for the stacking of your whole body. Miles will then lead us through a practice that integrates how the information Erika has given us, can shift and aid our yoga practice. This is an awesome opportunity if you specific questions about your feet or how to work with specific situations you are seeing in your students.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
WITH MILES

THE CURATIVE NYC, (BWAY & WAVERLY)
CONTACT MILES FOR OFFICE HOURS AND TO BOOK A SESSION

I’m now offering sessions at my office downtown which is part of a gorgeous wellness space called The Curative NYC.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University where he served as professor of biomechanics.

Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams – about the weight of a nickel – practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it’s effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Come on down and get what my Nuqui crew called the Brain Melt. If you want to arrange a session, email me at yogawithmiles@gmail.com
