THE ART OF HANDS ON ASSISTS
WITH MILES

SATURDAY SEPT. 14, 4-6:30PM
THE CURATIVE NYC, (BWAY & WAVERLY)
$45

Touch is an art and a skill that can be learned and refined. It involves a deep sense of listening and sharpening what and how you see. Each person is unique calling for a customized approach. In this workshop we will break poses down in very simple yet significant way as a way to finesse our eyes. Once what we are looking for and looking at become clearer, then we can apply it to our hands so that we can be more effective when we approach someone.  Using the principles of Thai Massage, different parts of our own bodies, the lines of energy in the body, and a playful approach, we will begin to understand what it means to touch people in a way that is meaningful, compassionate, and clean, which also allows them to show up for their own experience. Thus, we will unleash the alchemy of  true healing brought on by touch.

For teachers and non-teachers alike. No partner needed.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
WITH MILES

THE CURATIVE NYC, (BWAY & WAVERLY)
CONTACT MILES FOR OFFICE HOURS AND TO BOOK A SESSION

I’m now offering sessions at my office downtown which is part of a gorgeous wellness space called The Curative NYC.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University where he served as professor of biomechanics.

Using a soft touch which is generally no greater than 5 grams – about the weight of a nickel – practitioners release restrictions in the soft tissues that surround the central nervous system. CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it’s effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Come on down and get what my Nuqui crew called the Brain Melt. If you want to arrange a session, email me at yogawithmiles@gmail.com
