This will be our fourth year at this magical location. Last year was such a raging success, we cannot wait to go back. Nuqui is truly one the most beautiful places I have ever been. From the States, it is an easy flight to Medellin, one of Colombia’s coolest cities- where the adventure begins. And did I mention that Sensei Derek is one of my favorite people to work with?
On the Colombian Pacific coast lies a hidden gem called Nuqui. The definition of ‘away from it all’! To get there we will take a puddle jumper and a short trip on a boat. Once there, you may not have much cell reception, but you will have traded it for the gorgeous stretches of empty beaches on the edge of the rainforest, the most delicious meals, extravagant flowers, marine life (we saw dolphins last year) and a slower pace. The surf is great for all levels!
So… leave the dark cold winter behind and come with us to my home land for a week of transformative yoga, surf- if you surf, or learn- if you would like, or simply unplug from the daily grind. Turn off your screens and open your senses to true beauty. Get ready to tune back into your natural rhythm. Rise with the sun, and go to bed when it gets dark. Old school. Other than that, practice and chill. If you are not completely sucked in by a hammock for the week there are gorgeous beaches to walk along, night hikes to see mushrooms that glow in the dark, walks to waterfalls, a tiny little town to check out nearby, two rivers and the majesty of the rain forest- right outside your cabana door. The food is fresh and delicious and all theres is left to do is play, read, unwind, and drink wine…

I have always worked with my body in one way or another. My hands my tools. I’ve been a carpenter, an artist, and a sculptor. I have desired to help, to teach and to heal those around me. This path as a healer has given me the opportunity to use all these skills together in a well rounded approach to health and well being…
In recent years, I have immersed myself in an understanding of the body and movement and cultivated an intuitive sense for healing. I have discovered a badly hidden passion for teaching and guiding others. I have chosen to answer a relentless call to help others. I have been blessed enough to find many different outlets for this. Budokon, Yoga and Thai Bodywork all act as tools to aid me in guiding others to health and well being, and to enable them to continue the work we begin on the mat.
